RVICS was formed in 1976 by Henry and Margaret Schaeffer utilizing the skills of primarily married volunteer Christian couples, living in recreational vehicles, who serve the Lord through an organized work ministry. We are mainly a maintenance and service ministry, but occasionally do small construction projects as well. We serve only non-profit fundamental Christian colleges, schools, camps, conference centers, etc. There are no labor charges for these services.

Tell Me More

The RVICS Missionary Ministry is an opportunity for Christian men and women to do the Lord's works while traveling in their RV's. We work as small groups and are able to sight-see, relax together and share our Christian experiences. Through this we are able to develop lifelong friendships. Every effort is made to schedule work projects in the warmer climates during the winter months and in cooler climates the balance of the time. Work projects are 3½ to 4 weeks long.

Projects are scheduled monthly throughout the year with 3-4 weeks open during the Christmas season. Summer projects are scheduled for members who can or want to serve at that time. All members are encouraged to participate in as many projects as they are able.

A commitment, along with a dedicated heart to serve, is the primary requirement to serve.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
-Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
